If I was any kind of artist, I would have drawn a four-foot tall cockroach with mandibles of death, rather than a little black smudge on a table. Unfortunately for you, dear reader, I am no kind of artist.

Happy Mother’s Day! What? It was yesterday? And this comic has nothing to do with Mother’s Day?

Well, you got me there.

When I decided to kick off Mediocre Web Comic with a talking animal story arc, the first thing I thought of was Pearls Before Swine. It’s primarily talking animals, and no other comic makes me actually laugh out loud (no meaningless abbreviations here) as much as that strip does.

The MWC talking animal character will be revealed next week! Stay tuned!

It’s the dawn of a new era… the beginning of the dawning… the start of a new…

Aw, hell. It’s just a comic strip. It’s new. I like it, so far. I’m publishing on Mondays until I build up a library of strips, then I’ll start publishing twice a week, then three times a week. Who knows? Maybe I’ll go daily someday.
